Kashi Organic Toffee Krispies
These tasty treats take only 10 minutes to prepare.
Makes 16 servings.
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon organic canola oil
2 Tablespoons sesame tahini paste
3/4 cup brown rice syrup or barley malt
pinch of sea salt
1/2–3/4 cup organic raisins
1 teaspoon organic vanilla
3 cups Puffed Kashi cereal
Lightly oil a shallow 8" square baking pan. In a large saucepan, mix tahini and oil together. Add rice syrup or barley malt and sea salt, beat together and stir in raisins. Bring to a boil over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Stir in vanilla. Remove from heat, and stir in Puffed Kashi, making sure it is well coated with the syrupy toffee. Press into the oiled pan. Let cool. Cut into 16 squares and serve.
